Team Leader - Block Management

Essex

£45,000pa + company car

Our client has instructed us on a very exciting opportunity for an individual to come on board and be the point of escalation for a team of Block Managers. You will be responsible for the management of 8 experienced team members who you will provide support to and experienced advice on their portfolios.

Our client is financially very well backed and are a natural leader within the industry. Your focus will be on management of this team and ensuring that all current legislation is done with due diligence and any issues that arise, you will be the point of escalation. Alongside this, you will be the contact for a very small portfolio of a long-standing client.

You will receive excellent perks, including a company car, a parking permit for the office and above average holiday days. To be successful in this role, you will need to be a versatile individual with a proven track record for successful portfolio management. Someone with excellent business acumen, a thorough understanding of current legislation and someone who is a team player will be well suited to this position.

Responsibilities within the role include:

  • The production and monitoring of all Service Charge Budgets for the blocks both annually and for reserve funds
  • Create regular management reports
  • Monitor resident receipts and ensure arrears are minimised
  • Manage the Section 20 process and overseeing major works
  • Communicate effectively with residents, resident associations and the landlord
  • Managing your portfolio in line with up to date legislation
  • Managing a team of managing agents

Previous experience within residential property management is essential and qualifications such as AIRPM or AssocRICS would be beneficial.
