Assistant Vice President Fund Accountant, Private Equity

We are partnering with a Global fund administrator in Singapore. Due to internal promotions there is now a need to hire AVP in the private equity fund accounting team.

The AVP will be responsible to manage a team of 4-6 accountants.

Responsibilities:

• Be responsible to review capital calls, distribution calculations
• Communicate directly with the General Partners and respond timely to their requests
• Calculate management fees owed to management companies for the investment and portfolio management services provided to the Fund
• Provide excellent supervision to entire team, included regular training support as needed
• Demonstrates mastery of subject matter and technical skill sets, as well as initiative to continue learning in fields as needed
• Prepare and review quarterly and annually financial reports
• Coordinate for Investor Reporting and work quickly on client queries
• Prepare management fee calculations and supporting schedules and capital account statements
• Calculate and review SPVs, management fees
• Be point of contact for the external and internal auditors during year-end reporting

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting with at least 5 years of experience in similar role or an asset manager auditor
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license strongly preferred
• Previous private equity or fund accounting experience
• Hands on exposure working with private equity clients
• Ability to multitask and deliver on time
• Meticulous, organised and detailed oriented
• Superior ability to communicate and interact professionally through written and oral communication with current and potential clients
